Gardner officials create benefit district for future infrastructure improvements

Lynne HermansenGardner NewsWhile infrastructure improvements on Madison Street for the Hilltop Ridge housing development will not happen for a few years, Gardner City Council members approved a benefit district at their May 1 meeting.Matt Wolff, city finance director, said officials were creating it now to ensure the future benefit district was recorded on the final plat/title, so future homeowners were aware of it prior to purchasing a home.
