Gardner Historical Museum hosts bazaar to raise funds

The Gardner Historical Museum is celebrating 20 years of serving the Gardner area with collecting and sharing the history of the area with the community.
Saturday, March 4 they hosted a “big bargain bazaar” and silent auction at the Gardner Grange Hall on the Johnson County Fairgrounds.
Amy Heaven, gardner lake board president, said the funds raised would be going towards the museum’s upcoming planned building expansion.
Items for sale ranged from antiques, collectibles, housewares, puzzles, games, museum souvenirs and various miscellaneous items.
Heaven said most of the items were not from the museum’s own collection, “even though some were”, but had been donated from various people. The 4-H Horse Club sold and served lunch food.
