Gardner Pride seeks volunteers

Board members met at Groundhouse Coffee Sunday, Jan. 22 to plan for the upcoming third Gardner Pride Festival in June.

They are looking for 24 to 33 volunteers to fill at least five committee roles from entertainment, day of volunteer, set up and tear down, donations to vendors.

The entertainment volunteers will help coordinate entertainment that includes drag entertainers, music and more.

Volunteers the day of the event will help with various tasks from ticket scanning, raffle tables, helping vendors and more. The set up and tear down committee will work the night before, the morning of and after to set up tables, decorations, entertainment spaces and signs.

Donations committee members will help collect donations, and the Gardner Pride organization also needs food vendors and more.

Gardner Pride said there might be other committee opportunities in the future.

“If we don’t have enough volunteers we wont have an event,” Cammie McIver, Pride president, said.
